I grew up in Alabama, graduated from college at Auburn University in 2009, where I met my husband, Ben. I attended Dental School at University of Alabama at Birmingham. My husband and I discovered our love for the mountains during college and moving closer to them has been our goal ever since. After finishing a residency in general dentistry in Boise, I had the wonderful opportunity to join Dr. McElveen’s practice and move to the Wood River Valley. I could not be happier to be a part of such a wonderful team in such a beautiful, unique location.
My husband and I moved to the Wood River Valley in 1998 from Fairbanks, Alaska. We were fortunate enough to discover this wonderful valley with all the great people and outdoor activities that fit our lifestyle.
I worked in Ketchum for 10 years and decided to transition to Hailey after starting a family.
Working in Hailey is almost as good as working for Dr. McElveen. We share the same philosophy of dentistry… “Our patients need to know we care about them before they let us care for their teeth.”
Our office offers a high standard of care integrated with the latest technology to maximize benefits to our patients.
Our dental team has worked together for 15+ years so our personal and professional goals are similar and supported by the environment in which we work. We all feel very lucky to be a part of this practice and community.
I am a graduate of the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. After college, I moved west and have embraced the small town mountain lifestyle. I give back to the community by volunteering with organizations providing community service to promote oral health care.
It is a privilege to work with an exceptional team of dental care providers. At our practice, we believe in going the extra mile to help our patients. If you are looking for a dental practice that is devoted to making patients feel comfortable while providing them with exceptionally high quality results, you have come to the right place. The most frequent word used to describe my care is thorough. Your smile is your greeting to the world. When it sparkles so do you!
I moved to the Sun Valley area from Seattle, Washington in 1990 to explore the area I heard was second to none. What I heard was an understatement. When it comes to gorgeous mountains, incredible scenery and perfect seasonal weather this place raises the bar.
Not only was I truly impressed with this area, but I was also fortunate enough to fall in love, get married and give birth to a beautiful baby girl.
I started my dental career in 1997 and never looked back. My love for helping others gives me continued fulfillment. I find it rewarding to build relationships with patients and strive to show them that I care about their dental needs.
Seeing patients leave with a smile on their face is my goal, and I enjoy every minute of it.
“I am proud of the quality of care we provide for our patients.”
My husband and I moved to Fairfield 18 years ago, bought property and started a family. Within that time I started a career in the field of dentistry. It’s been 13 years now, and I can honestly say dentistry is my passion. I absolutely love working with people and forming new lasting friendships.
I am a dental assistant, and as such, I help patients through every step of their dental procedures. I am fortunate to be trusted by our patients and to have the opportunity to help make each one of them as comfortable and well-cared for as possible. It is a wonderful thing to love and enjoy your job. I can honestly say I love and enjoy mine.
When I am not at work, it’s not a difficult thing to get out and enjoying our beautiful valley. I love to hike with my friends and spend time with my family.
At James McElveen, DDS, we will take care of your dental procedures with care and compassion.
I am an Idaho native with strong family roots in the Wood River Valley. My husband, Mike, and I moved here in 2015 after traveling while he served in the U.S. Air Force. We have two doggies that we love to spoil and some backyard chickens that make me laugh out loud every day. We couldn’t be happier living here and enjoying this paradise in the mountains.
I graduated in 2008 from a dental assisting program at the University of Hawaii, and I am certified with the Dental Assisting National Board. I loved traveling — working in and around so many different cultures in our country — but I can say with all honesty that there is nowhere else I’d rather practice than here. Our patients are the best!
I enjoy seeing the field of dentistry advance and improve. Dr. Whipple is committed to the newest and best in dentistry, and she invests in the most up-to-date technology to make your visit easier and your dental care immaculate. She is the most organized doctor I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Your care and concerns are her first priority. I am so proud to be a part of this team and to be caring for you!
